The first-year program is followed and completed by all incoming engineering students. The common first year courses are designed to provide students with the theoretical and practical groundwork needed to begin your path to becoming an engineer.
After completing the first year, students apply to the engineering department in which they are interested. The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and School of Mining and Petroleum Engineering required courses and suggested course sequences are as follows:
Engineering Chart 1 (Traditional programs)
Engineering Chart 1 (Co-op programs)
Reminder to all incoming students: Please save your calendars from the year you enter your specialized program. This is the program you must now follow until you graduate.
If you are a continuing student, please refer to the University calendar of the year you entered your program for course structure. Continuing students must download and complete the appropriate program form prior to seeing the undergraduate student advisor or associate undergraduate chair.
